(NYSE: RM), a diversified consumer finance company, today announced that it has raised more than $100,000 to support the American Heart Association’s (AHA) Upstate Heart Walk through its community outreach program, Regional Reach. The company was the presenting sponsor and many team members participated in the walk on Sunday, April 24andin downtown Greenville.

The regional leadership has ranked as the top fundraising team in the upstate for three consecutive years, raising over a quarter of a million dollars during that time, and is one of the top AHA partners nationwide. Its continued success is due to the combined dedication and creativity of team members at its northern South Carolina headquarters and team members at its branch locations nationwide. Many of the company’s business partners have generously contributed to the AHA on behalf of regional management, as have its employees and customers. In total, nearly 400 walkers at the loan provider’s more than 300 branches in 14 states participated in the Upstate Heart Walk.
In addition to fundraising, Regional Finance has focused on encouraging employees to engage in heart-healthy activities in their communities. Team members entered the Wellness Weeks Challenge for a chance to win an extra day of paid time off, which included daily activities that promote healthy lifestyles in the weeks leading up to the event. Challenges ranged from choosing to take the stairs instead of the elevator for extra movement to incorporating a random act of kindness into the workday.
The company’s community outreach program, Regional Reach, supports both national nonprofits and local upstate organizations. In addition to serving the AHA, Regional Reach has partnered with Harvest Hope, Meals on Wheels and Hope Center for Children.
